Account Deletion Policy

This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can delete your Live From Wisco account and what happens to your data when you do so. We respect your right to control your personal information and provide clear options for account deletion.
1. Account Deletion Options
Self-Service Deletion
You can delete your account at any time through the app settings:
• Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Confirm your identity through email verification
• Review what will be deleted and confirm deletion
• Your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Request-Based Deletion
You can also request account deletion by contacting our support team:
• Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
• Provide your account email and verification of identity
• We will process your request within 7 business days
2. Data That Will Be Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently deleted:
• Profile information (name, bio, avatar, preferences)
• All photos and content you have uploaded
• Comments, likes, and other interactions
• Followers and following relationships
• Direct messages and chat history
• Notification history and preferences
• Search history and saved items
• Device tokens and push notification settings
3. Data That May Be Retained
Some data may be retained for specific purposes even after account deletion:
• Anonymized Data: Usage statistics and analytics that cannot identify you
• Legal Requirements: Data required to be retained by law or for legal proceedings
• Financial Records: Payment and transaction records for tax and accounting purposes (7 years)
• Support Tickets: Records of support interactions for service improvement (3 years)
• Security Logs: Access logs for security and fraud prevention (1 year)
Retained data is stored securely and used only for the specific purposes outlined above.
4. Deletion Process Timeline
Immediate Actions (Within 24 hours)
• Account is deactivated and you can no longer log in
• Your profile and content are removed from public view
• Email notifications and push notifications are stopped
• Your username becomes available for others to use
Permanent Deletion (Within 30 days)
• All personal data is permanently deleted from our active servers
• Content is removed from backup systems (may take up to 30 days)
• Account deletion is confirmed via email
Extended Retention
• Legal and financial records may be retained as required
• Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely
5. Before You Delete Your Account
Important Considerations
Before proceeding with account deletion, please consider:
• Data Loss: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• Content: Download any photos or content you want to keep
• Subscriptions: Cancel any active subscriptions to avoid future charges
• Connections: You will lose all followers and following relationships
• Messages: Save any important conversations or information
Data Download
You can request a copy of your data before deletion:
• We will provide your data in a machine-readable format within 30 days
• This service is free of charge
6. Reversing Deletion Requests
Grace Period
You have a 14-day grace period to reverse your account deletion request:
• Provide your account email and verification of identity
• We will restore your account if permanent deletion has not yet occurred
After Permanent Deletion
Once permanent deletion is complete (after 30 days), account restoration is not possible. You would need to create a new account if you wish to use our Services again.
7. Third-Party Services
Account deletion on our Services does not automatically delete your data from third-party services that may be connected to your account, such as:
• Social media authentication providers
• Payment processors (Stripe)
• Email delivery services
You should review and manage your data with these services separately.
